Made by hand with recycled fine silver this lovely solid fine silver Limpet shell with barnacle detail from the Northumbrian coast makes a gorgeous pendant. The technique of creating a mould of the original shell and using silver clay has picked up the detailed texture of the shell which has been gently highlighted using Liver of Sulpher to oxidise the surface texture on the front of the shell.
The shell hangs from a 45cm recycled sterling silver chain. A perfect piece to remind you of the UK sea-side, rock-pools and salty air.
Details and Measurements
Solid fine-silver mussel shell (excluding loop and jump rings) measures 2.2cm x 1.8 × 1.8 -with thickness of 1mm. Total penddant drop including jump-rings is approx 3cm. Shell hangs from a solid sterling silver fine belcher chain measuring 45cm.
All jewellery is sent wrapped in tissue paper presented in a recycled kraft or black cardboard box and tied with fine linen thread. A gift tag with/without a message can be added for a small additional charge. A litle bit of information about the piece is also included.
