Handcrafted Silver Jewellery Made With Nature for You
A Bramble Blossom for Bramble’s 21st Birthday
Sometimes you can’t quite find what you want. Or you like the look of what you see, but it’s not quite right for what (or who) you have in mind (it would be ‘perfect’ if….). Or perhaps you simply know that you want something made specially, that is completely personal and unique to you or the person you are gifting, you just don’t know where to start.
This is where personalised/customised and bespoke options give you a different choice from buying ‘ready to wear’ or basic made-to-order, because you can ask me to make exactly what you want - this is often referred to as a commission.
So what’s the difference between personalised (aka customised) and bespoke?
Personalised Made-to-Order -vs- Bespoke
Made to order simply refers to an option to buy something that I already make, but isn’t available as ‘ready to wear’. Made to Order pieces can be found in the shop, alongside the ready to wear pieces. The only real difference it that there is a slighly longer lead-in time before it’s ready to wear, and, impoprtantly, less waste because I make only when an order is placed. Personalised Made-to-Order - is where you might you like something that is available in the shop but you’d like a tweak - e.g. a different colour of sea-glass, or no sea-glass, a leaf that’s not listed, or a different chain. So, you request that it is made with the adjustments that are personal to you. This can also be referred to as customised. Ususally (though not always) this may incur some additional charges to cover the cost of different materials or a ilttle extra time, but the pricing will be very similar to the pricing in the shop.
Bespoke pieces are those that are made specifically for you, as a new creation, a one-off, developed with you, bringing to life something wholly unique to you, and something that I have never made before. This is a much more involved and usually (but not always) more complex process, and this is reflected in the pricing.
More information about the process for customised/bespoke pieces and pricing can be found below. The first step is to get in touch by email so we can begin to chat about what you are looking for.

Work With Me
If you would like me to create something personal for you, either as something made to order with a personal touch, or something truly bespoke, that reflects a deeply personal connection to a little piece of Nature that means something special to you or a special someone, the first step is to get in touch so we can explore together what you are looking for, whether it’s something I can help you with and whether a customised or bespoke option is the best fit.
At this initial stage there is absolutely no commitment, or charge, we chat (by email or over the phone) about what you might like or any ideas you may already have.
If you have absolutely no idea, you just know you’d love help creating something truly personal - you can browse the gallery below to see some of the pieces I’ve made previously for other people. In our initial chat I will help guide you and give you some suggestions too so we can create the perfect piece for you.
Alternatively, if you wanted to have a go at making something of your own, with my support, you could consider booking a private workshop which could be 121 or with a small group of friends.
Find out more about workshops HERE.
PRICING guidlines and more details about what you can expect from the process can be found in the FAQs at the bottom of this page.

I specialise in jewellery that is not simply inspired by Nature, but is made with nature - working with her ‘designs’ and infusing each handmade piece with her energy, as well as mine. Because they are made for occasions, like sepcial birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, or simply as a thoughtfull gift to show someone you care - they are full of meaning too.

It is difficult to give precise pricing for customised and bespoke pieces, because it truthfully does depend on a variety of things, e.g. How involved (and time consuming) the make is; time for developing and trialling ideas; the cost of raw materials;
I also know it is helpful to have a rough idea of what you can expect so you know whather this is an option you might want to consider.
Customised pieces will generally be at a lower price point than a fully bespke piece, typically starting from £150 for a silver piece.
Prices for bespoke will depend on exactly what you are looking for (and on the cost of silver/silver clay which has increased significantly in the past year due largely to increased demand from the ai industry). I will always give you a quote for the work we agree before you make a final commitment to go ahead - currently you can expect pricing to start from around £350.

I am told that the process is fun, that I keep you in the loop, and that I am very easy to work with. I am very open to discussing your ideas and to trying to find a way to make things work. I will also be honest with you if I don’t feel your project is one that I can deliver.

Personalised (aka customised) pieces are those which are essentially things I already make, that you can find in my shop, but where you would like a small adjustment made to make it better ‘fit’ what you would like. It starts with you contacting me asking for what you’d like, and then if it is an easy tweak or adjustment, I will confirm your order, including the price, and then get making. If the request would require significant rework or is for something completely new, then it would be more appropriate to be considered as a bespoke option - whereby the piece is a one-off made especially for you.
-
The first step is for you to contact me by email, or using the contact form. I will then have a chat with you (either by email or by phone if that is more convenient) to find out in more detail what you would like, and to determine whether it is something I can help you with. There may bs some to-ing and fro-ing while we throw some ideas around. If we agree to proceed I will provide you with a quote for the work, and if you are still happy at that point I will ask you for a 50% deposit to get the work started. This will cover the purchase of the basic raw materials and the initial time for developing the idea into a 3D piece, which may take up to 4 iterations. Once I have started I will keep you updated at every step of the way, so that you know how things are progressing, and any tweaks can be made along the way. When the piece is complete, and you are happy with it, I will invoice you for the final payment, and then it will be packaged and sent to you for you to enjoy (or gift).
