A pair of dangly solid fine silver earrings made from an original shell found on the beach at Godrevy in Cornwall. The shells were created using silver clay and a mould of the orignal shell. Musell shells are a perfect shape for earrings and pendants and are amongst my most requested pieces..
Due to the hand-making process there will be slight variation in the shells -so will be similar to but not identical to the images shown.
The front of the shell shows the texture of the original shell. The back of the shell is shaped into a shallow curve following the contour of the origina shell, and is untextured. The shells have been polished to a smooth satin shine and a subtle oxideised patina added to the textured front of the earrings.
Details and Measurements
Each solid fine silver mussell shell measures approx: 1.7 × 1.1 cm with a thickness of approx 0.2cm.
Each shell is hung from a solid sterling silver jump-ring and hook.
Earrings will come wrapped in tissue paper and linen thread, in a kraft or black recycled cardboard box also tied with in linen thread.
